thanksgiving treats

i went to raleigh, nc for thanksgiving and celebrated the holiday with 15 other displaced 20-somethings. it was a fantastic gathering, and i brought a cranberry-pear pie and a pumpkin cheesecake (that went over smashingly - seriously, i blew the sad lookin' apple pie that was there out of the water).

i didn't manage to take any pix of the pies, but here is a treat i made the boys earlier that week. it is a pumpkin pound cake. really good, but mushy in the middle. i baked it for 15 - 20 minutes longer than called for, and the center still didn't set. it was frustrating. although, mike said the mushy part was the best.
