adventures in quilting

i've been fortunate enough to find a job that gives me a creative outlet. a couple of weeks ago, i participated in the SAAM I Am family day at the renwick gallery. we brought in musical performers and a professional quilter to lead a children's quilting craft. well let me tell you, that children's craft was quite challenging! it took me almost 3 hours to make one square of a quilt. below is my process and finished product. it is hanging on my office bulletin board now...
