happy birthday to loo!

it is a good thing i can back-post on this thing! i have been creative and domestic quite a bit this summer; i just haven't been very good at posting about it. whoops. anyway, i'm back dating this entry to my co-worker laurel's birthday. she asked for a pie, and it is a good thing blueberry pie is her favorite - because they were cheap and in season! woot-woot!


there was some pie crust left and filling, so i attempted blueberry empanadas. i didn't like them (i wasn't satisfied with the crust), but i got good reviews all around. and laurel really like it, so that is really the true test. her birthday, her pie. she even had seconds.
