don't tell me i can't crochet a bow tie!

i'm a known crocheter at work.  i was joking with my curator one day that i should crochet him a bow tie to wear (he sports bow ties on a regular basis - it's his thing).  when i brought it up, it was sort of challenged to me to do this.  with (i think) a tiny implication that i might not be able to actually crochet a proper, sturdy bow tie.  so, i took it as a challenge, and i certainly showed them!  at a happy hour event i coordinated at the museum, i made my curator wear the bow tie! you can see it below.  not too bad, if i do say so myself!
