dream a little dream for me...

i planned a native american themed family day at the museum a couple weekends ago. i had an author read from her book on famous painter who captured native americans on canvas in the 19th century, and i had a native american flute specialist (and player) perform. it was a casual but fun afternoon. kids could also make dream catchers, woven baskets (out of paper), and paper teepees. above is my attempt at a dream catcher. not too shabby, but if you saw my intern's, you'd know i got schooled. haha. anyway, you can buy the kits for the catchers here if you are really interested... but if you aren't very, er, crafty? you can try the remedial kind :P
